You are warmly invited to attend the Visiting Artist Lecture Series hosted by the Art Studio program. All talks are in Art 102 (unless otherwise specified) from noon to 12:50 p.m. and are open to the public.

Thursday, September 10 - Artist talk with Chanell Stone. Chanell is an artist living and working in Oakland, CA. Her practice examines the phenomenology of the female body as both a geographic site and physical material embedded within the American landscape.

Thursday, September 17 in the University Art Gallery - Artist talk with Andrew Owen. Andrew is a photographer working primarily in the tradition of large-format landscape photography. Andrew’s current exhibition Mere Seconds, currently in the University Art Gallery, examines the ecological transformation across California during recent cycles of megafires and floods.

Thursday, September 24 - Artist talk with Joshua Moreno. Joshua examines the overlapping relationship between the natural and human-made environment and highlights patterns and systems of efficiency that exist within them.
