FR. Claudia Molloy, Director of Operations & Collections Manager, University Art Gallery
Join the University Art Gallery on Friday, October 30 for a special closing celebration as part of our weeklong Día de los Muertos Community Altar and Celebration. The closing event will feature guest speaker Chicanx and Latinx Studies Associate Professor Dra. Natalia Villanueva-Nieves, a taco lunch, and a hands-on printmaking activity.
During the event, we will honor the life and legacy of labor leader and civil rights activist Dolores Huerta. Her work has had a meaningful impact on our campus community, including her participation as the keynote speaker at last year’s Raza Graduation. We will observe a moment of silence in her honor.
This week-long celebration is made possible with generous sponsorship from the Office of Institutional Equity and Belonging.
